GTA 6 Trailer 2: What It Revealed — and What We Know Now
Trailer 1 introduced the return to Vice City. Trailer 2 made GTA 6 about Jason, Lucia and a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida.

What Trailer 2 established
JASON + LUCIA
The game's central relationship moved from implication to a much clearer story premise: an easy score goes wrong and the pair become caught in a criminal conspiracy across Leonida.
VICE CITY + BEYOND
Trailer 2 and the accompanying official GTA VI material dramatically expanded the picture beyond Vice City itself.
GAMEPLAY + CUTSCENES
Rockstar says the entire trailer was captured in-game on PS5 and contains equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.
WHAT CAME NEXT
The August 2026 Extended Look gave much more sustained evidence of how the game actually plays.
See the Extended LookTrailer 2 made the relationship the story.
Rockstar's premise is straightforward: an easy score goes wrong, leaving Jason and Lucia caught in a criminal conspiracy across Leonida and forced to rely on each other.
Compared with Trailer 1, that made their partnership the center of the story rather than a detail viewers had to infer. It still does not reveal the full arc or ending.
Vice City stopped looking like the whole story.
The official material around Trailer 2 widened the frame beyond Vice City, introducing more of Leonida, its communities and the people around Jason and Lucia.
This page establishes that breadth without turning into a duplicate character or location database, and it does not link to future pages that do not exist.
Yes, Trailer 2 contains gameplay. No, that does not make every shot gameplay.
Rockstar states Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5 and is made up of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.
That tells us the footage came from the game running on PS5. It does not identify every individual shot as player-controlled.
